New QAS Executive Report Features Gartner Research
|
|
 |
|
|
| |
QAS recently announced the release of "Raising the Stakes on Address Data Quality: Best Practices for Improving Customer Data."
The report includes an interview with Ted Friedman, principal analyst at Gartner, and a case study of recent data quality initiatives undertaken at The Lahey Clinic. By making address data quality a priority, The Lahey Clinic saw a 30% increase in fundraising in 2004 and saved $150,000 in costs associated with lost and returned mail.
Calling poor data quality, "a huge, huge problem," Friedman offers several ideas on how to quantify the costs of poor data, how to make data quality a higher priority within an organization, and how companies can use data quality to competitive advantage.
"Productivity, customer satisfaction, and better opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell across the customer base are the primary benefits [of better data quality]," Friedman adds.

Ask the Tech: Deploying Pro Web
|
|
 |
|
|
| |
Question: Is QuickAddress Pro Web available for intranets, as well as for Internet Websites?
Answer: Yes, QuickAddress Pro Web can be deployed on almost any type of intranet or browser-based application. However the ideal implementations are subtly different:
Internet Deployment:
- Designed for untrained users, registering their
address details on public-facing Websites.
- Users enter their address into multiple fields (City, State, ZIP™
etc.) and then 'submit' that address for verification by QuickAddress
Pro Web.
- QuickAddress Pro Web analyzes the submitted address elements, corrects
simple errors and appends a ZIP + 4®. If additional information
is required, the user is prompted with a picklist of further options.
- The software is highly configurable, and compatible with most platforms
and Web technologies.
Intranet Deployment:
- Designed for fast and accurate address entry by trained users on an internal system.
- Users enter an address into a single field, where the address elements are separated by commas. For example: "123 Pearl St, 02458".
- QuickAddress automatically parses the information into the appropriate address elements, and presents a verified, standardized address with the ZIP+4 appended back to the user. If more information is required for a valid address, the user is prompted with a picklist of options.
- Users can enter addresses faster, with fewer keystrokes and from only limited address information, but they must be trained on the system.
- The software is highly configurable, and compatible with most platforms and Web technologies.
For further details on either configuration of QuickAddress Pro Web, including online demonstrations of both types...
